- Helium produced in Germany has a carbon footprint that is up to 80% lower than imported helium.
- Recycled helium reduces the carbon impact by 2 to 4 times* compared to imported helium.

During the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we recovered and recycled 96% of the 6,000 m3 of helium used for the balloon supporting the Olympic cauldron. The reduction in carbon impact depends on several factors: distance between production and customer delivery, volume, helium quality, etc.
