Reduce your carbon footprint with our helium solutions
By choosing European and/or recycled helium, you are taking concrete action to protect the planet. Our life cycle assessments (LCA), which comply with ISO 14040 and 14044 standards, reveal that:
- Helium produced in Germany has a carbon footprint of XXX kg CO₂e (currently being assessed)
- Recycled helium reduces the carbon impact by 2 to 4 times* compared to imported helium
* The carbon impact depends on several factors: geographical distance, volume recovered, quality of the recovered helium, etc.
During the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we recovered and recycled 96% of the 6,000 m3 of helium used for the balloon supporting the Olympic cauldron. This operation made it possible to preserve a volume of helium and allow it to be reused. By giving this helium a second life, it has a carbon impact 3.3 times lower than imported helium.
